Whenever possible, Slice tools are ambidextrous and offer tool-free blade replacement. Slice, Inc. is a proud member of the American Society of Safety Engineers and the National Safety Council. Only a small portion of the risks users face are addressed by new handle designs, which is why Slice redesigned the blade. Most safety cutter brands look for new ways to design their handles. While these innovations are helpful, they don't solve the core problem. After all, what cuts you: the handle or the blade? Slice went back to basics and developed a safer blade, using advanced ceramics. Because steel is a relatively soft material, it dulls quickly. To give steel blades a useful working life, manufacturers sharpen it far beyond what's necessary. This workaround sacrifices worker safety for longevity. Slice uses 100 percent zirconium oxide, an extremely hard material that doesn't need to be oversharpened in order to maintain its edge. This allowed us to develop a proprietary grind that creates a finger-friendly, touchable blade that holds it edge an average of 11.2 times longer than steel. The difference that blade thickness makes is clear: metal cuts skin easily while Slice ceramic blades require much more force before they'll pierce skin. Slice blades are wider and include a small micro edge that does the actual cutting. The grind angles create a blade that cuts materials effectively, but resists cutting skin. Slice blades disperse their pressure, requiring much more force to pierce ski's tough outer layer than narrow steel blades. Slice ceramic blades offer many other advantages over steel. Delivery Delivery Slice Inc Store Standard delivery is USPS for packages under one pound and FEDEX GROUND for packages over one pound. Most in-stock items will arrive on your doorstep 3-10 business days after placing your order. Returns Returns Please note that all new products purchased from the Slice, Inc. store must be returned within 30 days of purchase for a refund, minus shipping and restocking fee.  The Slice Inc Store will pay for return freight only if the return is a result of our error (incorrect product shipped, product defect, etc.).
Warranty Warranty All new Slice, Inc. handles are covered for 1 year against parts and labor warranty for manufacturer defects.  Note, blades are not covered by the warranty due to the fact they will endure wear and tear that is beyond our control.
